STILL BECOMING

  To the one person that made my 19th year a memorable one, David Adedolapo Obadiah, I love you so much. If I took nothing out of my 19th year, at least I know not to “settle” anymore, and self discovery is not an action or a process. It is a constant cycle/struggle/growth that takes place at certain intervals in life; and this brings me to dropping this bombshell¡ Until January 17th 2027, my blog would be shut down. I wrote for free for over 3 years and now, I have thought to rebrand ’Style De Vie blog’, maybe with a different name, maybe with a different logo, but definitely an entirely different website!😊 But in the meantime, while cooking, I will be closing contracts and landing clients in the writing field. THE FATHER GAP

  8 out of 10 people I meet have daddy issues. At first, I thought I was attracting them because I had also lost my own dad; but getting a clearer and better understanding of life, making researches and all, I discovered and keep on wondering what went wrong with millenial fathers???   They said June is men’s mental health month… but how about we let these men know and understand how they’ve cost almost everyone their mental health (not only women, but also their children… their male children especially). This hurt cost more than a lot of emotional and psychological trauma, which leads to an inability to move on or outgrow certain circumstances/situations, which further leads to an extension/transfer to the next generation.  In this part of the world, we see it as one of the ways our village people have gotten to us… whole time, it’s just a repeated pattern.  And the good fathers? Definitely will be appreciated because they leave just that tiny little hope in us that...
