A LUXURIOUS JUSTICE???

  “While I was a student, it was more than a struggle for my parents. We were feeding from hand to mouth, literally, but we didn’t even have a choice to stop my schooling because they were more than bent on seeing me successful, and I on the other hand, was bent on making my uneducated parents proud. Honestly, we were getting used to the suffering. We kept on adapting and adapting till… well, my parents didnt know how I was going to adapt after bandits raided my school and kidnapped 64 of us, including our teachers and principal.   The news spread faster than wildfire and almost everyone in our not so little village knew about it. Of course, they did feel bad for the families of the victims, only for the next minute to be used to gaslight other villagers… not to leave their homes in search of us, or take the laws i to their hands, or even to go spiritual like we heard some communities do, but just to sit in bed and feel bad for the captives in the forest with bandits.  Ho...

THE HIDDEN EPIDEMIC

I wouldn't say imagine but think rather of a person (not just a person but people) living with the possibility of experiencing a crisis at the slightest change in the weather or environment; people whose lifespan expectancy IS MEANT to be shorter by two to three decades than a human's lifespan, people whose life is a roller coaster of pains you don't even know exist, people who experience either the veno occlusive crisis, the aplastic crisis, the hyperhermolytic crisis, or the sequestration crisis Or A guy who wouldn't wish to be sexually active for the reason of getting a painful erection. Think also of a lady missing out on fun stuff to do for the fact she could get a dull or throbbing or stabbing, sharp pain that comes out of nowhere in the cause of just living like a human should. SUICIDAL ELIMINATION

I happen to be a person who can't comprehend suicide. That a person has the guts to not only get the thought of it but also act upon the thought overwhelms me and it is why I would always try to make people understand that there is a huge difference between mere sadness and depression... reference to my "you are not depressed, you are just sad" post. I'd say depression is a very severe form of sadness caused by a lot of *REAL LIFE* happenings to a person.  You see, a person thinking of suicide and acting upon it wouldn't or doesn't rather, wish to die. They look for a way to escape the unbearable pain and suffering they go through and in the absence of any, they find death as the ONLY escape route. Deep down, there is always the wish for another alternative but then, studies show that hopelessness is a very strong predictor of suicide.  In a situation where I'm in a race and suddenly experience muscle fatigue for a few seconds, I have two options on my min...

 YOUR PRIME THOUGH, NOT MINE So what if I'm here on this piece to counter the Greek philosophers who said "Youth is the seed of life and the seed must be sown with care"? 🌝. Yes, you read that right, although, my focus is going to be on the former part of the quote.  I believe one's teen years should be put first before the youth days. You see, many a lot of us 14-19-year-olds should get it stuck in our heads that we are not "enjoying our youth" now 😭🌝❤‍🩹. It's entirely different to gradually lose your value (even as a guy) and people not seeing your value, not to them but to yourself.  You really can't be faster than your shadow and although the world we find ourselves in right now has normalized a lot of abnormalities, we've really got ourselves to blame for whatever mistake we make. PEACE, THE PERFORMANCE

  Isn’t it tragic that peace, which was meant to be something normal, is now something we purchased (knowingly or unknowingly) just to stay sane, stay calm, or… just to stay put?   And it’s even more tragic because we all have different ways to experience this peace. While peace to some people is not hearing noises, peace to the other person could mean waking up to see you’re financially secure. To the next person, peace could be just being alone, with no one around to ask questions or say any words to them.  Not just in this part of the world but almost all over the world, we have all forgotten what peace really is, and this is because everyone is in one pursuit or the other.
