Decisions, decisions

In the bid to make any decision at all, there appears to be indecision and wrong decisions. You see, life is a game. We play it till we're out of time. Life wins all the time, sadly. It leads every living thing 1-0 ๐Ÿฅฒ๐ŸคŒ. But while still active and agile in this game called LIFE, we push our way through with decision making, and these decisions are what keep us going in the game; whether going forward (right decisions), being stagnant (indecision), or going backwards (wrong decisions).

We're all humans, and making wrong decisions sometimes shouldn't be something to keep us down for so long. It leads to stagnation, and stagnation is what we should avoid at all costs as humans.

Back to decisions!

We'll be looking at the advantages of wrong decisions over indecision. A close look at this, and we'll see that making wrong decisions actually pays off more than indecision. Yes, wrong decisions => regrets, but then it's up to you to make up for your regrets. But indecision => stagnation => later and longer regrets => frustration and self-hatred.

Indecision is something that kicks in due to fear or even lack of confidence. Wrong decisions, on the other hand, could be due to impulsivity, sentiments, or misunderstanding of certain information. Let's take a look at this instance: I'm handed five million naira to either use for my education, my blog, or any investment I'm interested in, or make use of the money for my own comfort and luxury. I eventually go with the latter, live a luxurious life of about four days, and by the time I'm coming to the realization, I'm left with less than four hundred thousand. Remember now๐Ÿซฐ, that I made mention of it being up to you to make up for your regrets. So I use the money I have left to pay web developers to improve and boost my blogspot or just anything at all that could pay off later. Now, if I had let indecision creep in due to my fear of not being all fruitful in my academics and career pursuit, the whole of the five million naira would only sit there staring at me without any productivity. Then, I'd be all stagnant in all areas I needed work or advancement in. The best that could be done with the money in my state of indecision was to keep it in a safe (still unproductive compared to my result of a wrong decision๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️).

Let's look at a few but productive ways we can aid our decision-making process and progress:

* It will always be to get your goals defined first.

* When your goals are defined, do well to weigh your options with the information gathered. Do not forget to always make sure to gather the right information.

* Always believe your instincts and also always remember to learn from past mistakes and experiences.

* And, never be in a haste to jump to conclusions.

Steps in an instance

Given 5 million naira and I'm to choose between spending wisely or comfortably and luxuriously. I'm fully aware of my education and dream career in progress (already defined my goals, and clearly too๐Ÿ˜‰). I decide to use more of the money on my education since it appears to be more important. I also do well to look from the other side of the card and see that, of course, it would pay me to spend more on my career. But then, of what use is my career without my certificate?๐Ÿคท‍♀️ (weighed my options after gathering the right information). I remember how I mismanaged not this much amount of money and decide to call myself to order by putting more of the money into my education... hopefully it doesn't waste๐Ÿคž. Seeing my progress on both sides, and with a little of the money left, I decide to put it all into an investment... Maybe real estate but I make sure to forfeit every thought of failing in any aspect I'm putting my effort in.

Not trying in any way to promote wrong decisions but I'd rather advise us in any state we find ourselves to make decisions to make sure to make a move rather than being stagnant in the name of indecision. Do well to put the above steps to practice to avoid making wrong decisions ☺️๐Ÿซถ

  1. Well said Ify. Well said. Lack of information can also lead to indecision and likely wrong decision as well. Talking from experience ๐Ÿฅฒ
