STILL BECOMING

To the one person that made my 19th year a memorable one, David Adedolapo Obadiah, I love you so much. If I took nothing out of my 19th year, at least I know not to “settle” anymore, and self discovery is not an action or a process. It is a constant cycle/struggle/growth that takes place at certain intervals in life; and this brings me to dropping this bombshell¡ Until January 17th 2027, my blog would be shut down. I wrote for free for over 3 years and now, I have thought to rebrand ’Style De Vie blog’, maybe with a different name, maybe with a different logo, but definitely an entirely different website!๐Ÿ˜Š But in the meantime, while cooking, I will be closing contracts and landing clients in the writing field. I am still a writer, a full time freelance content writer who is also into social media management (still cooking up more skills for my readers๐Ÿ˜ฝ).  So, please, if you are looking for any type of writer, or a social media manager, I’m very much available and would lov...

Differences in Togetherness

In the last 2 years of my life, I can say I have met a good number of different kinds and caliber of people. If only I had realized what I’m about to talk about on this piece, just maybe I would have had a wider network.

Of course when you decide to leave your comfort zone, you should be prepared for whatever it is that awaits you outside there and I think this is what most of us fail to admit. Asides you reading this, there are 7 billion other people in the world and these 7 billion people have their individual characters, attitudes e.t.c. and these are what makes us human (we cannot completely understand one another because there are no two alike persons).

You go about your daily activities and come across different people with different personalities; obviously you don’t get to like everyone you meet but how do you cope with people you don’t tend to like? You should follow these steps:

- [ ] The first step has to be to TRY TO UNDERSTAND who and what this person could be; sneaky, unfriendly, talkative, greedy e.t.c. Doing this would help you figure out the next step

- [ ] After trying to understand a new person, you should be able to know how to go about with this person i.e how you can NAVIGATE through this person’s cons. If you happen to be dealing with a talkative, you could employ the “silence method” or turn deaf ears (this one works for me)… this doesn’t mean you’re not into this person but the bad side could just come up at the very wrong time and the only option you have is the next step

- [ ] It’s understandable that people could really be a lot to deal with but I feel when you know how to navigate through this person, the next step is to EMPLOY A COPING MECHANISM, most especially when you’re dealing with a difficult person. Think in and out of the box to see how you can get to cope with this person. This will help to prevent peoples actions from getting to you.

No doubt these steps are only applicable to SOME kind of people, but in situations where things are getting out of hands, do not hesitate to reach out to other ways (iykyk) but come to think of it, imagine we lived in a world where everyone behaved just like you… O wrong nau

And that is why even when you meet the worst kind of human beings, you shouldn’t be too mad at them or yourself because it’s this differences in character, skin color, beliefs e.t.c. that gives color to the world. It is these differences that brings us together.

  8. Observation and tolerance are one thing I do alot. If we keep on pushing everyone out of our life's no one will remain. So we have to learn to tolerate each other. Indeed there's beauty when we look at it. This is a really nice piece๐Ÿ˜Š keep it up๐Ÿฅฐ
