  • “Oya don’t worry, I will cook my food myself”- coming from this woman who came to intrude in the kitchen after telling me to prepare dinner 🤦‍♀️

  • “Very good!”… and she proceeds to adjust her wrapper and looks away- coming from the mother who’s meant to share in my pain after I fall 🥲

  •  “Every time, phone, phone, phone, that’s why you’re always sick”- coming from someone who’s meant to rush me down to the hospital rather than complaining 😑

  •  “Must you go and see your friend? Can’t your friend come and see you?”- coming from a millennial mum who wants no visitor in her house😒

  • “You think you’re doing me? You’re doing yourself”- the usual anthem whenever the smallest mistake is made in the house 🙂

  •  “My own mother didn’t die because of me so I won’t die because of any of you- another anthem in the house when mummy Ify is getting fed up with the kids😗

  •  “Ummm, is this scarf nice?” “ No mumny, no need for a scarf” “Why?! I’ll tie it like that, it’s fine”- coming from someone who tells me I don’t know fashion 😏

  • “My dear, you see this my own children…” and she goes ahead to exaggerate what you did and didn’t even do- someone who tells me to stop talking too much😾

SUICIDAL ELIMINATION

I happen to be a person who can't comprehend suicide. That a person has the guts to not only get the thought of it but also act upon the thought overwhelms me and it is why I would always try to make people understand that there is a huge difference between mere sadness and depression... reference to my "you are not depressed, you are just sad" post. I'd say depression is a very severe form of sadness caused by a lot of *REAL LIFE* happenings to a person.  You see, a person thinking of suicide and acting upon it wouldn't or doesn't rather, wish to die. They look for a way to escape the unbearable pain and suffering they go through and in the absence of any, they find death as the ONLY escape route.   Sometime ago, I think published an article on religious bondage and I felt fulfilled speaking out on such controversial topic because it really used to piss me off… but up until some days ago, where a woman was trendy due to the fact that she happens to be under the shackles of her belief and her fellow believers. (Story time) Apparently, she had been sick a while ago, and rather than using a medical method to treat herself, she opted for a “traditional” means. This traditional means made her health get worse to the extent of having a very huge sore on her breast.
